I started out sewing when I was in middle school, on an old machine from the 1950's in the Home Ec room. I had always been intrigued by sewing machines, as my mom sewed many items for me that I still have today. Later, I found out that sitting behind a machine, or even handstitching items, was incredibly therapeutic, and when I bought my own machine, a 1926 Singer, I was hooked. I sewed a queen-sized quilt with a machine that didn't have a reverse stitch, but I was so inspired to just keep going.

As a person who typically wears black (and that's basically it), I soon realized that I needed to incorporate some color into my life. With that, I started knitting scarves... But soon, I realized I could still make interesting and lovely scarves on my machine, and a Sewing Maniac was born.

Since then, I have made a few dresses, a wallhanging, several scarves and purses, and helped my mom make a load of table centerpieces.

I hope that when you wear or use one of my items, it helps remind you that you are an amazing and wonderful person. Hopefully, you will be inspired to create something yourself. The world needs more beauty.. Share yours with the world. <3
